Chinese graphic artist Yang Liu created a compilation of illustrations that explained the difference between Western and Eastern cultures.

Although Liu’s work compares German and Chinese culture, this depiction largely represents an important distinction between western (blue) versus eastern (red) culture. The following is a depiction of Yang Liu’s work.

2. Westerners are quieter and less noisy while eating.

3. Different understanding of BOSS in the West and East

4. When problems occur, Easterners calm down and face them with a smile.

5. The ego of a Western person is large. This is because they have a strong sense of confidence.

6. Difference between Western and Eastern people while making queues. Is that correct?

7. Westerners like to come to the point. Meanwhile, the former uses lip service.

8. When it comes to money..

9. Westerners like to talk about their ideas more than they imagine. The opposite is true.

10. Westerners want to return to traditional modes of transport, the former being the opposite.

11. If a Western person talks to A, it means that A. If an Eastern person says A, it can be B. Right?

12. Seniority is still strong in Eastern culture.

13. Difference in freedom of speaking between West vs. East.

14. Easterners are really afraid of the sun, right?
